FORM

The Theory & History of It

Form begun when Plato found it. He found it having in the cave one foot, the other on the website.

Don’t know why.

Then, decades ago, in 1998 and the early 20s, web forms used to be coded via HTML, CGI and things like that, almost manually, it was tedious.

Now a days we use the following: No need for someone the wheel to reinvent:

Use Google Forms. Use Third-parties. Use Contact Form7. Use Forms by Microsoft. MS Dynamics.

Options exist.

Free ones for personal/ charitable use, paid plus minus for the Business Corporate.

Now we go to the practicals.

FORM PRACTICE

When you create a form do not start with “What is your name?” Put it in a nice and pleasant way.

Make it as concise as possible. Make use of drop downs, selections, radio buttons.

Apply Sections, if applicable. If the user selects this then take them to another place in the form process.

Word Press core, SharePoint Online, Google Workspace/ Forms, SurveyMonkey Forms, Formidable Forms, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Custom Design Forms, Microsoft Forms Pro (Dynamics Customer Voice), Google Workspace/ Forms, Jetpack Forms, and others.

Thank you for attending the presentation made on the theory, history and practicals of the Form. In a word this is called the Philosophy of the Form.

Footnote

(Some people seriously think philosophy is the study of just history and mere thinking theory; I severely disagree with them for I believe there is joy & practice in it.)
